I am Iiro Laine, a family entrepreneur from Rauma with a long career in the graphic design industry. When the third generation took over our company, I decided to pursue my passion – architecture.

GOTA was born out of my own need: I wanted a hut for our yard in Levi that would fit into its surroundings and be something new in terms of its design. When I couldn't find anything suitable, I designed it myself. This is how GOTA was born – a combination of tradition and modern design. Once the GOTA building model was ready and no similar product could be found on the market, the idea of commercializing it arose. This marked the beginning of a project that combines the traditional form of a hut with modern design and a high level of living comfort.
I got Business Finland and the ELY Centre involved in the development and marketing. For the initial technical design and cost calculation, I chose Sweco Finland as my partner, whose strong experience in CLT construction, among other things, brought the necessary expertise to the project.

The architectural design is the work of the internationally renowned Studio Puisto, which is particularly known for designing destinations that emphasize sustainable tourism and nature experiences. Studio Puisto's signature style is clearly visible in the GOTA models – timeless Scandinavian design, functional spaces, and a seamless connection to the surrounding nature create a unique experience for the user.

The buildings are manufactured by Finnish company OnWood Oy, which has decades of experience in modular construction. OnWood Oy's modern production process and high quality control ensure that every GOTA building is manufactured with meticulous attention to detail – ready for use, safe, and on schedule. The company's production capacity also allows for the effortless implementation of larger projects.
